Marcorossi artecontemporanea is pleased to announce its participation in The Phair 2026, the international fair dedicated to photography and the contemporary image, taking place at OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin from 22 to 24 May 2026.
For this edition the gallery presents a solo project dedicated to Norwegian artist Rune Guneriussen (Kongsberg, 1977), with whom it has collaborated for many years – accompanying his exhibition path in Italy and contributing to the dissemination of his work among audiences and collectors.
“Objects lose their original function and become silent presences, integrated into the landscape until they transform it.”
Guneriussen’s practice stems from a process as simple as it is radical: temporary installations in nature, assembled from everyday objects – lamps, books, chairs, telephones – arranged in the landscape and photographed on film, without post-production. The resulting images document scenes that truly existed, yet feel suspended, almost unreal.
Left: lamp installation at dusk Right: Sustained Substance, books in the snow
In these works, the boundary between natural and artificial dissolves. Nature is no longer a mere backdrop, but an active participant in the image: a space that welcomes, amplifies, and returns the installations as a visual echo.
The choice of Guneriussen reflects the gallery’s commitment to a photography that does not merely record reality, but constructs it — questioning the relationship between vision, experience, and representation.
