Following the stops in Turin, Verona, and Milan, Luce Trattenuta arrives in Pietrasanta across the gallery’s two venues. The project brings together three Italian artists of different generations and mediums, Riccardo De Marchi, Paolo Serra, and Marco Tirelli, united by a rigorous investigation into form, perception, and the spatial construction of the artwork, in a dialogue between matter, light, and structure.
De Marchi’s work is based on the act of puncturing: paper and galvanized sheet metal become vibrant fields where full and empty spaces generate rhythm and tension, through a process of subtraction.
For years, Paolo Serra has been conducting an original inquiry into light, space, and form using complex processes rooted in ancient techniques, such as Oriental lacquer, gold leaf, and Titian reds, structured through a geometric organization inspired by the Fibonacci sequence.
Concurrently with his exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, Marco Tirelli presents a selection of polyptychs from the 1980s. This core body of his work features essential forms that build mental spaces where light and shadow become structural elements. The publication dedicated to the 1980s Polyptychs, curated by MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea with a critical text by Alberto Salvadori, is now available.
Throughout the exhibition, the three artistic practices construct a complex visual field, transforming the gallery space into a site of perception and reflection.
