MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea is pleased to present Silenzi d’oro (Golden Silences), a new solo exhibition by Mirco Marchelli, organised as a single project involving the gallery’s locations in Turin, Verona and Milan, with openings between 12 and 19 February 2026.
The title evokes a suspended dimension, in which silence is not absence but generative space, a place of listening and resonance. In Marchelli’s works, the artistic gesture proceeds by “subtraction”, according to a logic of “removal” that refers to music and breath rather than pure formal construction. The material – fragments, traces, surfaces marked by time – becomes the guardian of layered memories, reactivated through processes that welcome error, the unexpected, variation.
Silence, the central theme of the project, dialogues with sound and music, another fundamental dimension of the artist’s research: a “golden” silence, precious, charged with poetic tension, capable of suggesting rather than declaring. The works thus take the form of “silent compositions”, in which the balance between material and sign opens up an intimate and meditative perception.

The works thus take the form of “silent compositions”, in which the balance between matter and sign opens up an intimate and meditative perception.
As always, a distinctive element of Marchelli’s work is the role of the titles, often poetic and ironic, constructed as rhetorical figures – oxymorons, linguistic shifts, antitheses – which establish a dialogue with the work itself that is sometimes harmonious, sometimes unsettling. Silenzi d’oro is a continuation of his career, but accentuates its metaphorical and musical dimension, projecting it towards a new expressive density.
The exhibition confirms the long-standing relationship between the artist and MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea, and is presented as a single narrative divided into three chapters, designed in relation to the spaces and identities of the different galleries.
